Support for young people.
Over the next week or so information will be shared with all young people on how to use ‘Real Information’ to make ‘Safe Choices’. This is important throughout the year, but especially important over the festive period when there are likely to be more gatherings and parties.
Young people can access health services, including sexual health advice and guidance, from the Guthlaxton Clinic, Connexions and the Youth Service (based in the Bobbin factory located next to South Leicestershire College). There is also a 24 hour text service where young people can text to get advice and guidance on health related issues. This service is available throughout the Christmas period and the number to text is 07814 877859
As parents and carers you can support your sons and daughters by discussing the issues with them, knowing where they are and who they are with and giving them guidance on how to ‘stay safe’. There will be a Facebook page to support this campaign, further information will be distributed to students.
