January GCSE Science Exams:

A large number of or students will be taking GCSE Science exams immediately after the Christmas holidays.

Year 10 Double Science

• Thursday Jan 12, at 9.15. Unit 1 (B1, C1 and P1) 1 hour
• Wednesday Jan 18 at 9.15. Unit 2 (B2, C2 and P2) 1 hour

Please note that following these exams, students will be starting their year 11 Science course of EITHER GCSE Additional Science OR BTEC Applied Science. Full details are in a letter being given to students. This may involve some re-setting of students

Year 10 Separate Sciences

• Thursday Jan 12, at 9.15. Unit 1 Biology (B1, B2 and B3) 1 hour
• Friday Jan 20, at 9.15. Unit 1 Physics (P1, P2, and P3) 1 hour

Year 11 Additional Science

• Monday Jan 30, at 1.15. Unit 4 (B4, C4 and P4) 40 minutes

Year 11 Separate Sciences

• Wednesday Feb 1 at 1.15. Unit 2 Chemistry (C4, C5 and C6) 40 minutes

and either:

• Thursday Feb2 at 9.15. Unit 2 Physics (P4, P5 and P6) 40 minutes

or

• Tuesday Jan 31 at 9.15. Unit 2 Biology (B4, B5 and B6) 40 minutes

Please support and encourage your son/daughter to prepare for these exams at home. They should revise from their own exercise book notes, the correct revision guide (available from college) and the text book (Year 10 online and Y11 memory stick download).
