If you are passionate about food and have creative talent you could put this into action by entering The Young Chef of the Year Competition to be held on Wednesday 30th November 2011.
Competitors are required to cook and serve a healthy two course meal within the cost and time limits allowed.
- A two course meal(main course and dessert)
- Cost – no more than £5.00 per head (£10.00 total)
- Preparation time – 30 minutes
- Cooking time – 1 hour 30 minutes
You will be judged on:
- Healthy choice of dishes
- Planning
- Range of skills used
- Costing
- Neatness of work and hygiene
- Wise use of time allowed
- Presentation and Taste of Main Course
- Presentation and Taste of Dessert
- Meals served at the correct temperature (at completion time)
- Presentation of table (including Flowers, cloth, decoration etc)
