Chocolate Tasting Challenge results

During open evening visitors were invited to take part in a chocolate tasting challenge, to see whether marketing persuades consumers to buy their brands, over the taste of the chocolate.

Before trying the chocolate 38% of those surveyed believed that they would prefer Galaxy, and 57% Cadbury Dairy Milk.

After tasting 46% of people had changed their initial view and chosen a chocolate that was not their initial choice. The end results were that 22% chose Galaxy & 35% Cadbury. 43% of people preferred other makes of chocolate such as own brands.

This shows the power of marketing. To learn more about it chose Business Studies as one of your options at post 14 or post 16.
