USE OF ELECTRONIC DEVICES
The use of electronic devices in lessons is disrupting teaching and learning. This is impacting upon learning outcomes and examination performance. It has also led to a number of serious incidents which have required detailed investigation.
With effect from Wednesday 29th June electronic devices are banned from being used in lessons.
All students will be warned and they will be given the consequences should they refuse to comply with the instructions. The consequences for individuals will include:
- Confiscation of the device by the subject leader
- Parental collection of the device
- Detention
- Fixed period ban of electronic devices
In the wider interests of our learning community we hope that you will support us in ensuring that your son/daughter conforms to the requirements of the College code outlined above.
Many Thanks
Sally Cox
Deputy Principal
