The majority of our students never get into trouble. Most students make the right choices and as we can see on the front cover Sarah Pike is proof that you are rewarded in life if you do your best. However, a few of our students do sometimes make the wrong choices, they make mistakes and their decisions have negative consequences.

I wish to take this opportunity to remind and reinforce the message that wherever appropriate we, at Guthlaxton, co-operate fully with outside agencies to enforce the law. As such criminal activity, both within the College and outside, will not be tolerated. Whether it is theft, vandalism, assault, anti-social behaviour or anything that is to the detriment of an individual or group in our community.

At Guthlaxton I do not require the same degree of evidence to act to change the behaviour. For example I have asked that Arriva use the two cameras situated at the front of every bus they have to take a picture (or video) of any student who causes them concern so that appropriate measures are taken within the College to deal with it, or, support them if they wish to prosecute anyone. Similarly with Tescos or areas around the College where we have CCTV that helps us identify students who are involved in any anti-social behaviour.
This is a polite reminder so that no-one can claim that they didn’t know.
