The under 16s school badminton team (Oliver Hoult, Adam Langeveld, James Herbert, Sam Koelling and head coach Ian Bateman) did a fantastic job in winning the Leicestershire county finals held at Babington College. They had to play a number of schools including Longslade, Lutterworth and John Cleveland College. Guthlaxton thoroughly beat every school five games to nothing and are through to the regional finals, which will be held at Nottingham University. The head coach, Ian Bateman was delighted with the result and firmly believes that Guthlaxton has every chance of winning the regional finals.
