Louis Walsh's new girl band visits Guthlaxton

Louis Walsh’s new girl band Wonderland visited the college on Thursday 27th January 2011. The girls have been asked to be ambassadors for the new game The Sims 3 and are currently travelling the UK, performing at schools and saying hello to students around the country.

Students from Bushloe High School and Guthlaxton packed the main hall for the hour-long concert, a Q & A session and collected photos and autographs afterwards. Wonderland performed their songs and did a tremendous rendition of Rhianna’s Only Girl in the World. Some students joined Wonderland on stage and sang a capella. They were extremely impressed and stated that they would send Louis Walsh to Guthlaxton to form his next girl band.

The band is currently supporting Boyzone at concerts in major venues around the country while promoting their single Not a Love Song.

It’s now available to pre-order at iTunes for just £1.99. Featuring the radio edit, the EP also comes with Acoustic versions of ‘Not a Love Song’, ‘Need You Now’ and ‘Nothing Moves me Anymore’. It also comes with the video for ‘Not a Love Song’.

‘It’s always a great opportunity for students when professional musicians visit the college and I’m sure many of them will be inspired by seeing and hearing Wonderland performing in their own school hall’

We wish Wonderland every success on their UK tour and trust that they will head to the top of the charts with their album.
