Parenting the Under 11s: Developing Your Skills
The course is designed to give support to parents with children under 11 years in a supportive, sharing environment and to help them learn to adapt their behaviour to different circumstances.
The course will be held on January 19th, 26th and February 2nd 2011 at The Salvation Army, Ladysmith Road, Wigston, Leicestershire from 7.00pm - 9.00pm.
The course will focus on positive parenting skills and will aim to:
Build effective communication skills.
Look at different parenting styles, and how to deal with conflict.
Explore boundaries and responsibilities.

Incredible Years Course for Parents of Children Aged 4/13 Years
This FREE course is for mums, dads, grandparents or carers of children aged between 4 and 13 years who would like to learn how to manage their child’s behaviour.
The course will be held on Thursdays from 13th January until 24th March from 6.00pm until 8.30pm at The Meadow Community Primary School, Meadow Way, Wigston Magna, Leicestershire.
The sessions are a way to:
Help you as a parent/carer.
Talk about what it means to be a parent.
Discuss ways to improve your relationship with your child.
If you need help with childcare or transport please speak to a course leader who will be happy to arrange this for you free of charge.

Tears, Tantrums and Teenagers!
This course has been designed to support parents and carers of teenagers - it’s a series of three informal, friendly and supportive evening workshops run by RELATE where you’ll meet other people with similar experiences.
The workshops will be held at Brockington Community College, Enderby on Wednesday 19th January, 26th January and 2nd February 2011 from 7.00pm - 9.00pm.
The purpose of the course is to encourage parents to build on their existing skills, and to learn to adapt behaviours. Each week different areas will be covered:
Week 1 - To think of, and practise, ways to be assertive.
Week 2 - To look at effective communication, and how to deal with conflict.
Week 3 - To explore how to survive stress, and healthy ways of understanding and handling anger.
Any parent is welcome in particular parents of children aged 11 years upwards.
