Once again the Guthlaxton Annual Dance Show was a success. The programme consisted of exciting works performed by dance students in all year groups.
‘Still Life at the Penguin Café’ explored the relationship between man and animal and brought to life the characters in the Animal Kingdom that have become extinct. The atmosphere at the end of the dance was spine chilling and depicted the mood of the dance well.
Other dances were ‘Darwin’, previously performed at The Curve Theatre, Leicester. This portrayed the evolution of man.
Juliet Richards performed a stunning solo on point ‘You Lost Me’, as did Kieran Alleyne whose Break Dance solo was highly physical and entertaining.
The Annual Dance Show is an excellent platform for all dance students to share their work with the College. We would like to thank the students, parents and the College for their continued support.
Miss Hazarika.
