The Guthlaxtones played their last ever gig!
The Guthlaxtones played their last ever gig this August at the prestigious Summer Sundae festival. Most of the band camped at the festival for three nights, with constant rain until the final day when the sun finally came out on the day of the performance. The Guthlaxtones played on the Musician stage mid afternoon, and the area quickly filled with people keen to watch the band. Before long the place was absolutely packed and the audience reaction was fantastic. After four years and various line up changes, Summer Sundae was a great high point for The Guthlaxtones and a fitting end to a highly successful group.
The band did around 100 performances in their time including festivals, proms, weddings, functions, pub gigs and performances at Guthlaxton. They also raised well over £10,000 for various charities over the years. Most of the band members have now gone on to various universities around the country.
