Read about the Performing Arts summer tour to the Netherlands

Forty eight students enjoyed Mediterranean temperatures on their summer tour to the Netherlands at the end of last term. Concert Band, Big Band, Choir, Strings and The Guthlaxtones performed four concerts in scorching heat with a tropical thunderstorm bringing our penultimate concert to an electrifying conclusion. Following a day in Phantasialand, we gave memorable concerts in Monschau, Maastricht and Valkenburg and enjoyed visits to ancient caves and the local bowling lanes. Thanks especially to former students Lydia Criglington, Dan Wright and Dan McCardle who returned to support us, Lara Langeveld and all Yr 13 musicians who with James Sarson helped ensure a great, well-organised and fun time was had by everyone.
