On the 24th September 60 Year 9 students celebrated the European Day of Languages at Guthlaxton College.

On Friday morning, 24th September, sixty Year 9 students from Abington, Bushloe and South Wigston High Schools celebrated the European Day of Languages at Guthlaxton College.

Throughout the morning the students were engaged in various activities: they learnt to say a few words in Dutch, they cooked various European dishes, played French pétanque, and were initiated into handball and Salsa dancing.

Teachers and students alike had a great time. It was a pleasure to see how willing the students were to have a go at everything and to work with our staff and students.

We would like to thank all of the staff who gave up their time and did such a fantastic job and, also, to the many Guthlaxton students who helped to make the morning run smoothly. Finally, we must say thank you to the participating Year 9 students who behaved impeccably and made it such a pleasurable day for all.
