On Thursday 3rd December we held a unique event showcasing a range of students and their work. This was a collaboration between the Performing Arts and also included art work and assistance from the Art department as well as the culinary skills of Mrs Pollon!
Throughout the night there were performances by two A2 Level Theatre Studies groups and two performances by BTEC National Diploma students. The performances took places in different venues across the College and took in a variety of styles from site specific Drama, Movement, Vaudeville/Cabaret and a naturalistic drama piece.
The students performed admirably and helped present a fantastic night of entertainment with excellent feedback from the sizeable audience of all ages. There was a real festival atmosphere with the audience mingling in the bar and whilst they enjoyed their food in between performances. Many thanks go to all who attended and also Ben Linstead for outstanding technical support, Danielle Sculthorpe for front of house and support throughout the night, Mrs Pollon for a fantastic buffet and the premises staff with their patience and assistance with arranging the performance spaces.
We will keep you posted on future events!
