Guthlaxton College was represented by a sixth form team consisting of Jack Vardy, Anna Page, Jared Wallace, and Matteo James in the Royal Navy Challenge held at the Wyggeston and Queen Elizabeth College on Thursday 3rd December 2009. The team had to design a plane to fly along a slip wire and drop a bomb off at a specific target area on the floor. Having started the challenge with a great design and many ideas, the Dolphins (our team name), could not maintain its original speed. The students worked hard and were  great ambassadors for Guthlaxton College, they came up with a unique design and, to the maths department delight, used the Pythagoras Theory for some of their calculations. Robert Smythe were the clear winners on the day but we led the field to the end run. Well done to you all !!!!
