Big Band and Concert Band perform at Nottingham Castle and Highcross Shopping Centre
Members of Big Band and Concert Band performed at Nottingham Castle and Highcross Shopping Centre at the end of the summer term. Both groups have been invited to return again next year. College musicians, singers and dancers have already begun an extensive programme of performances in the community. BTEC students performed songs and dances at the annual Borough Variety Show. The Big Band and Jack Maxwell entertained students, staff and guests at the college Awards Evening. The string orchestra with guitarist, James Condon and trumpeter, Jack Maxwell gave a lunchtime concert at Wigston library as part of its cultural diversity day. Rebecca Gardner and James Campion performed for senior citizens at the Young at Heart day at Parklands Leisure Centre, and the string ensemble with soloists Sam Giles and Jack Maxwell gave a concert at Little Hill Primary School.
