St Georges School 1 – 3 Guthlaxton College

Guthlaxton’s Under 15 girls team progressed through to the third round of the national cup, with a 3-1 victory over St Georges school.

They began looking nervy and conceded early on. After this, Guthlaxton picked themselves up and looked dangerous. They were rewarded a few minutes before half time after a number of corners resulted in a goalmouth scramble and the ball was eventually fired home.

The second half began much better. The Guthlaxton defence looked strong and easily thwarted any attacks. Halfway through the second half, Guthlaxton scored two goals in quick succession, putting the match beyond reach of St Georges.
