Innovation is always the key to developing the quality of what we do at Guthlaxton. The Maths department have placed themselves at the cutting edge of technology by bringing in Learning Response Systems into the classroom.

Julie Hughes and the Maths Team have been piloting the use of this technology in order to bring students to the heart of their own learning. Students are able to do multiple choice questions and text responses to the teacher getting immediate feedback.

Teachers are able to see immediately when students understand key mathematical concepts and ideas. The whole process is designed to accelerate a student’s progress. You can see how the students respond by watching the video below.
