It has been a busy term for The Guthlaxtones with a multitude of gigs in various venues. One of the highlights was Soul Night 2 at The Musician in Leicester, a charity concert in aid of Cancer Research UK. Following on from the success of last year's event where the hall was sold out to capacity in advance, The Guthlaxtones were one of only two bands ever to sell out The Musician in advance, quite an achievement considering that they have bands on every night of the week. Well over £500 was raised for charity.

The other main highlight was a return to the Glastonbudget festival, the largest festival for cover bands in Europe. The Guthlaxtones were given an impressive billing; headlining the second stage on the opening night. The band drew one of the best audiences in the area they were playing all weekend and had the entire crowd doing the actions to 'Y.M.C.A.' at the end! Most of the band camped over the whole weekend and were treated to some glorious weather and a chance to catch up on the other bands playing. The summer term is equally busy for The Guthlaxtones, with the college concerts, the Year 11 prom and various other gigs coming up.
