As a new initiative to give students the opportunity to develop their skills outside of the traditional academic subjects we held an activities afternoon on 2 April. Students were able to choose from many activities including power kiting, card making, knitting, sports and ready steady cook.
We were also very lucky to welcome Funkstylerz a break dancing company who performed in the hall to over 200 students and the Army who encouraged 50 students to work as a team to overcome the challenges they were set.
The weather was kind and the students enjoyed the activities working with different age groups. We look forward to developing similar opportunities in the future.
A big thank you to all of those organising activities and to students participating to make the afternoon a success.
