Guthlaxton 4 – Bosworth 0

The Quarter finals against Bosworth started with Guthlaxton only having 9 players, but all the players were determined and ready to play. With Laura Cunniffe shouting from the side line the girls started the game well. With Lindsey Tugby as captain and Suzie Eassom in defence and midfield we surely could not go wrong. Going up hill the girls struggled but their goal keeper made a treble mistake which left Guthlaxton with and indirect free kick 4 yards away from the goal. Rheo Smith tapped the ball and Suzie Eassom booted it passed all the defenders. We were then 1 up at half time, Rheo then added to the score line with a corner from Lindsey. Bosworth seemed to fade in the second half with Lindsey dribbling the ball from half way passed all the defenders and popped the ball into the top right hand corner of the goal passed the goal keeper. Laura who was side line coach was cheering on all at this point. There was great support from some of the U16 girls especially the great defender Jade McLaurin, her and Suzie Eassom made very strong back together with Naomi Conner. Andi Casey, Abbey Wells, Tammy Copp , Kinga Jasinska making up the Mid field. The goal keeper Zara Cook did not let in any goals. Great work girls.
