Virtual Learning Environment assists students with their studies.
Students at Guthlaxton are now beginning to benefit from on-line support with their studies. Guthlaxton’s Virtual Learning Environment is modelled on the real school and consists of a large number of webpages known as virtual classrooms. Every student belongs to around 12 virtual classrooms (one for each of their subjects). Each virtual classroom (a webpage) is controlled by the class teacher who can place articles, links, software, tests, forums, lesson notes and other resources onto this page. Several teachers have created pages as part of an extended trial this term. Content on the VLE is now expected to increase significantly over the next term and will hopefully offer worthwhile support via the internet.
